Hello to all of our gorgeous readers,

Liza and I have decided to start two new fashion blogs. It will be TWICE the fashion and TWICE the fun! Mine will be based out of Los Angeles and Liza's will be based out of Chicago. I Live For It has been an incredible experience for both of us and we have loved every second that we have shared with you all. We thank each and every one of you for all of your love and support over the past two and a half years.

Outfit Post: Mom's 60th Surprise Birthday

This past Friday, my sister and I decided to throw a surprise party with my mom's few closest friends for her 60th birthday. She said absolutely NO surprises or anything too extravagant, so we decided on Bistronomic, a new hot restaurant in the Gold Coast. Let's just say my mom was VERY shocked that we planned this behind her back. She is always the one that knows everything! Haha! All in all, a great night with lots of laughter and love. ;) XO, Liza

Who Says We Can't Wear Boots In The Summer?

With the Ksubi Black Dusty Open Boot, I say we CAN wear boots all through out the summer! I live for super feminine summer ensembles paired with a beat up black boot. These Ksubi's are breathable, check. Sick sick sick looking, check. Would look unreal with cut off shorts, check. Would funk up any little sundress, check. I mean, what is not to love about this boot? Ok, well the price... but for $389, I find these completely worth it and I will wear the daylights out of them! Also, can you imagine how completely rad a colored knee high would look peeking through these little babies? Duh! Adore! I personally love all my short boots and it's always so hard for me to switch completely over to my flats during the summer months. I don't always like looking too girly and miss my boots desperately when trying to achieve an edgier ensemble. These boots have completely solved my problem. They're like a breathable gladiator sandal boot! Haha! I live for it! Ah, what a great find! Hope you're all well. Sadly, I have a terrible cold from work. Boooo. I am off to go rest up some more. I think ordering these boots would make me feel all better. ;)

Stylish Couple Spotlight: Olivia Palermo and Johannes Huebl

I've felt very lovey all weekend with my man and was thinking to myself... "We haven't done any couple related posts on the blog". So I decided to dig around and nominate who I think makes the most stylish young couple out there right now! Olivia Palermo and her model boyfriend, Johannes Huebl, take first place... hands down. They have been dating seriously for three years, done numerous shoots with each other and seem to be attached at the hip! Johannes is classically gorgeous and Olivia is of course becoming a total style icon on her own at the ripe age of 25. A lot of people don't like her for the way she represented herself on "The City", but frankly I don't care. That could have all been editing for all we know, and the girl dresses with more class, grace and swagger than we've seen in a decade. So my hat is off to Olivia. When you put them together it is total magic. They're darling! I have put together my favorite pictures of the two love birds below. Happy Monday, guys. Agh, bring on the coffee! I'm gonna need it!

It's no surprise Chloe Sevigny's collections for Opening Ceremony are nothing short of amazing, so we obviously were expecting her resort line to be pretty much adorable. Well, this collection to me is beyond adorable... It's incredible!!! I kind of gasped and started talking outloud to myself when I was going through all of the slides on style.com. I. WANT. IT. ALL! My New Favorite Color For Summer: MINT

Lately every time I've been lounging in the sun and flipping through my magazines, this "mint" color keeps popping out at me. I am seeing it everywhere. I continue to rummage through my closet because I am craving it on my body, yet it is seemingly absent from my wardrobe? I don't know why. Green is my favorite color. Why don't I own anything in this sweet mint shade? I am determined to do something about it. So I have created two collages including clothing, swimwear, lingerie, and accessories for us to ohh and ahh over together. Hope you're all having a good week. My weekend starts today! Yay! I am excited to lay around with my man and just relax at the beach. Ahh, I love summer... not that it ever really ends here in LA. ;)

Liza's Best Dressed of the CFDA Awards

The CFDA Awards were the other night and unfortunately I was pretty disappointed with what all of the attendees and nominees were wearing this year. This is THE time for the fashionistas to step it up (besides the MET Gala of course). I was going to do a worst dressed list as well, but ahh... there were just too many that outweighed the best dressed, so here is my little select group of the few that killed it. Kirsten Dunst in Patrick Ervell- Amazing! Like I've said in the past, I'm definitely not a suit kind of gal, but this is just taking chic to another level. I'm not sure how I feel about the big hoop earrings... but I love the sleeked back high bun. Her black heels too are simple enough to not draw attention away from the fabulous blazer.

Shenae Grimes in Rebecca Taylor- Awww how I love Shenae, as well as the other girls from 90210. They are all just gorgeous and absolutely darling. This jumpsuit Ms. Grimes is wearing is beautiful. I love the lace bustier top of it. She looks so elegant and on trend.

Behati Prinsloo in Rebecca Minkoff- Only a model could pull this off, so it makes sense Behati chose to wear this awesome gown. I love the flounce of the little sleeves and the open back.

Erin Fetherston in her own design- The queen of girly fashion herself! This dress Erin is wearing is full of frills and it suits her just perfectly. Loving her new bob too!

My head is spinning from how many unbelievably sick sales are going on right now. My usual gamut of subscribed flash auction sale websites such as, Gilt Group, Ideeli, Rue La La, HauteLook, and Billion Dollar Babes keep my eyes glued to my computer screen for several hours a day. I consistently find great things for my house, gifts for everyone in my family, and my man. These flash auction sites are also an absolute life saver during the holiday seasons if you come from a huge family like I do! However, during the summer months, you truly can't beat an awesome sale from some of my favorite sites: Ten Over Six, Opening Ceremony, Maximillia, Bona Drag, Oak NYC, Creatures of Comfort, Gargyle, and La Garconne. Blogger Spotlight: Mandy Shadforth from "Oracle Fox"

Mandy. Wins. For. My. Favorite. Personal. Style. Hands. Down.

Bravo to Mandy Shadforth. She currently lives in Australia and works as an artist, blogger, and a freelance stylist. She nails it every time with her effortless ensembles. I am just now discovering her blog and I have no idea why. I literally stopped everything else I was doing and scrolled through every single one of her posts (all two years worth of her archives). Liza and I truly love to focus on shouting out all of the obscure designers that we respect and admire. We also make a point to spotlight and write bios on up-and-coming models, stylists, and photographers as they really make these designs come to life through the lens. It's rare to find cult-ish indie blogs like that these days and if you do they're usually just posting the same stuff and not crediting each other. That drives Liza and I crazy. Waiting a week and then ripping some ones post off doesn't make it OK. Why not credit and support each other? I personally LOVE finding a blogger with sick personal style that posts things that I have yet to discover. I adore finding a blogger that introduces me to new designers and aspects of the fashion industry that inspire me. Mandy has most certainly done that so I just had to do a spotlight on this gorgeous talented girl! Lize and I have had this blog together for two and a half years now and have only done five blogger spotlights, so it's a big deal when we find someone to feature! I am so thrilled to have discovered Oracle Fox!

Oracle Fox is so original, innovative, and versatile. Mandy covers so many different areas of the industry... much in the way Liza and I do with our blog. I love how all across the board she is. One day she'll post an editorial shoot, an outfit post, a travel post, then illustrations from artists she likes. You can tell she posts whatever has moved her that day. It is not too planned or a premeditated wannabe online webazine. Oracle Fox is a genuine online journal. Her accessories literally gave me heart palpitations. Ah, what I would do to have her Pamela Love collection. ;) Mandy also surfs. I mean, does is get more rad than that? All the way from her shorts, blouses, boots, massive stack of friendship bracelets, the huge hardware rings she keeps on every finger, her surf board, to her perfectly tousled hair... this chick definitely passes my "cool" test. I would chill with her any day! Considering half of my closest friends here in LA are Australian, I am sure we would get along great. Ha! Be sure to check out Oracle Fox because it's blowing up! Awesome stack of bracelets. You can tell she didn't just throw all of those on her arm one day and she isn't wearing them in a stack because it's trendy. They have clearly been there a while and mean something to her. I love that. Oh yeah, and there is the amaaaazing Unearthen Crystal Prism Ring that Lize and I have been lusting after since last January. ;) Again, Mandy's taste and style is perfect.

Mandy recently did a huge post on one of her favorite artist/designer, Abbey Watkins. I had never seen this illustrator before. I am in love with fashion illustrators because I envy that talent so much! Isn't this piece unbelievable? I wish I could draw. I had to share the love on this amazing artist and pay it forward.

Swimwear Designer Spotlight: Tavik

Well now that's it's OFFICIALLY summer in Chicago, I thought we were obviously due for a swimwear post. Jewls sent me a link yesterday to an adorable bikini she found online by an awesome line named Tavik, so I googled it, checked out their stuff, and decided I just had to do a designer spotlight! I was beyond overwhelmed with the 80's cuteness of these suits... They are SO Saved By The Bell! Exactly what Kelly Kapowski and Lisa Turtle would be sporting today! Based out of Orange County, designer Nicole Hanriot's swimsuits were first featured in an issue of Sports Illustrated. From there, her designs began popping up in magazines, such as Marie Claire and Elle. Now available on some of our favorite online shopping sites, such as Revolve Clothing, 80's Purple, and Shopbop, Tavik is surely gaining popularity among us fashionistas, who must remain in trend at ALL times... even at the beach! Travel Post: Las Vegas

Last weekend my other best girlfriend, Christina, and her boyfriend, Tim, were in town. The four of us enjoyed a few days here in LA having a massive slumber party together and then we road tripped out to Vegas for the weekend. While John and I enjoyed a delicious suite at The Palms, Christina and Tim scored a suite at the brand new Cosmopolitan since his band, The Whigs, were performing there. It was fantastic because we got to enjoy both hotels. Double rooms, pools, restaurants, clubs, and spas! Of course, I would never leave town without my baby Canon 5d to snap some rad travel pics. Ahhh, the weekend is finally here. It feels so good, doesn't it? A four day weekend... so delicious. Well, that means four days of cute outfits. Especially a super duper cute one for Monday. Whether you're gonna be poolside, beachside, or at a BBQ, I have put together several cute items that will have people turning their heads saying, "ah, you have the best style!" Rodarte for Opening Ceremony Halter One Piece, $345. For my girls who are rocking the one piece trend this summer. This is a sick choice. Rodarte is just murdering everything this season. I know this one is super expensive, but I would fully wear this as a unitard as well. It would look unreal worn under cut off shorts and high waisted skirts too! Love love love this bathing suit!

Jeffrey Campbell Zag Platform Wedge, $175. Oh my soul, are you kidding me? Yessssss! These are hysterical!!! I would so wear these! Long live the 70's! Paired with a sheer blouse over a bikini, cut offs, and a massive sun hat... kiiiiiiller. These are for sure on my list of summer must haves.

Photographer Spotlight: Cass Bird

Cass Bird is such an influential photographer. I have been following her work for years and can just about spot her work anywhere now. She is based out of Brooklyn, New York and is regularly featured in The New York Times "T" Magazine, Interview, Paper, Details, The New Yorker, Rolling Stone, ID, Dazed and Confused, Monopol, and Nylon. ID and Dazed and Confused are two of my favorite magazines because they never fail for an incredible "editorial flip through". I adore seeing her shoots in there and have a massive stack next to my bed that my man is constantly begging me to get rid of. I can't! They are keepsakes! As I continue to educate, sharpen and hone my own skills with photography, Cass is a woman I most certainly admire. She has such an uncanny ability to capture genuine moments. I imagine shooting with her would be like hanging out with a good friend because her pictures feel so intimate and comfortable. I hope to be able to capture that same feel with my own photography. I featured an amazing shoot from Cass a year ago out of Dossier Journal with her buddy, Daria Werbowy (yeah, we've heard of her, right?). Our lovely style icons headed over to DVF studios for the CFDA's biannual membership meeting held by their good friend, Diane. Ha, wouldn't we all like to call her by her first name! While both girls have been members of the designer organization for ages, this was the first year that they were nominated for their very own CFDA award! Mary Kate wore their line, The Row, paired with those insanely hot red Miu Miu pumps and Ashley rocked vintage Dior. Gah, I feel like she is just killing it in the vintage department lately! Designer Spotlight: Elkin

Kara and Brit Smith, a sister designing duo from LA, debuted their lingerie-esque ready-to-wear line, Elkin, earlier this year. I love their idea of creating "wearable intimates", pieces that can easily go from the bedroom to the streets. I first came across this fabulous label on one of my favorite sites, Shopbop and went absolutely crazy over the items they put up. Yes there were only four or five, but every single one of them were perfection to me! I'm in LOVE! I'm also loooving that each of their collections are named after a literary genre, with their very first being "Gothic Romance". They even give you a reading list and playlist with each piece, including Edgar Allen Poe, Mary Shelley, and uber eclectic singer, Nick Cave. Ha! I love it. Such a cute idea, right? Check out some of the photos from their Fall 2011 lookbook below, featuring Z Berg from the band, The Like. I also included the pieces I am absolutely crushing on from Shopbop. Jewls Review of Chanel Resort 12' Collection

Gah! What a nutty couple days for Blogger, right?! Such a pain with all of our posts popping up and down? Being able to sign in and then not? Let's hope that the server stays normal for us, yah? Or else we can all go on strike and get Tumblrs...... Wait, we already have one. ;) HA! Lize and I have to admit though... It has been fantastic to have a place to archive all of our random edgier and artsy photos that we love! Onward and outward. Fingers crossed, Blogspot. As Tim Gunn would say, "Make it work!"

This past Monday, Karl Lagerfeld showed his Resort 2012 collection in Antibes, France. Drawing a smaller crowd this year, just a few our favorite little starlets showed up for the dinner hosted by Karl himself the night before and the fashion show itself. The bathing suits and floor length dresses this season really caught my eye. I just had to review it and do a post to show you all my favorites! Happy Friday babies!

Can we just start with this photo of Alexa, Poppy Delevigne, and Laura Bailey. These three girls are my top faves out of all young starlets right now. Poppy is killing it everywhere she goes. She was at The Soho House last time I was there and I have to admit she is killer chic in person too. I have a mad girl crush on her. They are even more disgusting all together like this. I can't deal with them. (Lize and I say "disgusting" for things that are insanely gorgeous to us, don't get confused, ha.)

This dress is to die for. I feel like I would have worn it to a piano recital when I was like 6. I am obsessed. Alexa can do no wrong. Lize and I used to pretend we didn't like her, but then we came to our senses and realized we were just being jealous of her wardrobe. Bahaha. We have loved her for years now. She's such a button.

Ok, I was literally driving down Rodeo three days ago and saw this ensemble on the mannequin in the window and thought to myself "Ok, you would have to be like six feet tall to wear that, ugh, it's sick." And here Poppy is pulling it off effortlessly without looking trashy! I love how she knew to pair it with flats with those long legs of hers. If she had put heels on with this look, it would have TOTALLY ruined it for me. I love that she has class and restraint even though her body is perfection. That is a rarity.

Clemence Posey = Perfection in this dress. It is so fitting for a blonde. I love that she has her hair pulled back into a simple bun. Ugh, I just adore her. I really do. I already did a style icon post on her ages ago, but maybe I'll do another just cause I love her so much!

Caroline Sieber donning a more like ladylike choice. I like it!!! This lace number is darling! Hate those shoes though.

Style Icon: Taylor Tomasi Hill

Nowadays I feel it is quite hard to find trendsetters that are completely and utterly original in how they dress. Whether they be celebrities, magazine editors, fashionistas, or socialites, it is really rare I come across someone in the spotlight that is not only dressed to the nines, but steps their game up each and every time they put on an outfit. I mean, how boring is it when we open the pages of US Weekly and there are three celebrities all wearing the exact same dress pretty much the same way? Or how about when you go to a nice restaurant and there are at least five girls toting a Black Chanel Quilted 2.55 Bag? Bleh! Well the rarity in this case to me is Taylor Tomasi Hill. Originally working as the accessories director for Teen Vogue (totally makes sense because that magazine used to be my bible for shoes, headbands, jewelry, you name it), Taylor now holds the position of the style and accessories director for Marie Claire. I know she's been blogged about up the wazoo and what not, but I just felt a post on this fashion icon was very necessary for our blog. Jewls and I are obviously very big on originality and staying true and unique to our styles, and Taylor Tomasi Hill is almost like the poster child for that. Her ensembles are always ridiculously sick and gorgeous and well... innovative! I LIVE FOR IT. Check out some of my favorite photos of Taylor below. Her outfits are positively drool worthy! Hey lovers. So, this Saturday my other best friend, Christina, is poppin' into LA to see me! Wahoo! Then the following Thursday we are road tripping to Vegas for the weekend with our boy toys! Jewelry Designer Spotlight: Q&A Interview with Winifred Grace

Happy weekend to all of our gorgeous readers. I know Liza and I don't usually post on weekends, but today is a special occasion! We recently received the latest lookbook for Winifred Grace's Pre-Fall and Fall 2011 Jewelry Collection. Blown away and gasping at each piece, I was left desperately wanting to interview this incredible designer! I wanted to ask her about her method and process to further understand how she creates the unbelievably fresh pieces of art that we then get to wear as jewelry! I contacted her lovely rep, Courtney, who then got in touch with Winnie who agreed to do a Q&A!

Below is my interview with the fabulous Winnie Gundeck, creator of Winifred Grace. I have also included my favorite pieces that are available now from the current spring season. I want to scoop up every single piece, as I'm sure you all will too once you lay your eyes on them! Also, be sure to check out Winnie's fresh off the press Pre-Fall lookbook at the bottom of my post. Exclusive Interview with Winnie Gundeck from Winifred Grace:

What is your hometown?
Winnie: Half my childhood was spent in Miami, Florida, and the second half in Atlanta, Georgia. I currently live in Chicago.

Liza and I are both from Chicago so we have our fair share of favorite spots. What are some of your favorite restaurants and boutiques in Chicago?
Winnie: One stop only for clothing & accessories : P45 in Bucktown, Calo's for old school Italian in Andersonville, Opart Thai in lincoln Square for the best Thai food in the city, Big Star for tacos & margaritas in Bucktown.
Did you go to school for jewelry design or are you self taught? How did this incredible talent manifest itself and when?
Winnie: I am definitely self taught. As a child I was always manipulating & repurposing things in to accessories. Barrettes of silk flowers and acrylic paint. I even took old oxford shirts of my Dad's and swapped out the buttons for ones made of rhinestones, replaced the collar for one made of lace, and added embroidered ribbons to the sides. I went to graduate school for graphic design and that's when many of my instincts for design blossomed and were really honed. SO many of the same principles in graphic design can be translated in to jewelry : size, scale, color, contrast, texture. . . A few years ago I did take some metal smithing classes in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico (where my grandmother studied jewelry design in the 60s - I took classes in the very same classroom!), but these days I am creating jewelry that involve more hand stitching, weaving, and knotting fabrics & leathers than soldering metals. After graduating from graduate school I worked for 3 years as a graphic designer at a small boutique firm in Chicago. I started Winifred Grace in 2003, as I was really craving more hands on creativity.

For your Spring 2011 Collection, I see you have used a lot of exquisite african trading beads mixed with waxed linen. It is basically art. Where did you get the idea to incorporate these beads?
Winnie: I have always been inspired by old African textiles, jewelry, and adornments. It is such a beautiful concept that at one point hand made beads were used as currency! I love their rustic, one of a k ind quality and love the idea of mixing them with contemporary sensibilities.

Your Fall collection is less glitzy than your previous collections. With your innovative mix of leathers, raw brass, and waxed linens, these pieces give off a much more natural/bohemian feel. What inspired you to switch it up?
Winnie: While I loved the "sparkle" & "glitz" of my previous collections, the current collections are much more a personal reflection of my own taste and style. My home and my wardrobe choices have always reflected a mix of bohemian sophistication - and now my jewelry designs really are an authentic extension of me.

You use a lot of raw brass and oxidized sterling silver in your jewelry pieces. Raw brass is hands down my favorite material because it looks as if it has had a life before it found me. Do you have any other materials on your back burner with which you want to experiment? If so, what are they?
Winnie: I've recently been using fabrics & leathers in my designs. I see going far & deep with these materials as they really start to bridge the gap between accessories & clothing. I love the idea of designing an accessory that truly incorporates itself in to your outfit and doesn't compete with it.
Do you have any tips on how to wear jewelry? Is there ever too much? Are you a fan of layering? As a jewelry designer, how do you like to see your pieces worn?
Winnie: One of the greatest satisfactions is seeing the jewelry on my customers. It comes to life in a way that is so different than me just trying them on in the studio to make sure they lay or hang correctly. When I meet a customer I can instinctually pick out a piece right off the bat for her - there are certain pieces that just speak to a certain personal style. I love layering my pieces and it is especially thrilling to see a customer who has layered a piece from 5 seasons ago with one from my current collection. That's how I design the collections - each one, evolving from the next so there are always some "genetic" similarities which make them timeless.

What inspires you when beginning the design process for a new collection? Do you have a specific method of research or does the theme just come to you?
Winnie: There are some general rules I follow which are carried over from my years as a graphic designer – ideas about scale, contrast, and color theory, for example, but overall my creative process is very organic. I rely very much on intuition; and my basic instinct for what looks good and what doesn’t. For each collection I gather imagery which inspires me at that moment: a specific color combination, an outfit, a movie, a piece of artwork, or a room’s décor. This helps me establish the mood of the collection, and then from there I source materials which support that mood. Once the materials have been chosen (size & color options included), I use those materials to set up parameters for the collection and I design within those realms. Limiting myself in that way allows for an entire collection to develop organically and look cohesive. Each individual piece is unique but it is obvious that all the pieces are a part of the same family. There is some sketching, but mostly the best designs develop from what I like to call “happy accidents”, or something that I just stumble upon.

What can you not travel without?

Winnie: My computer (BORING!).

What are three staple wardrobe pieces you will be wearing this spring (if it ever warms up in Chicago)?

Winnie: Flip flops, tunics, and A-line 70s skirts.
What is your all time favorite item of clothing?

Winnie: A gauzy, white embroidered top that my mom bought for me on our visit to San Miguel. It reminds of my Mom, my grandmother, and San Miguel - 3 of my favorite things in the world!

Who are your top three favorite designers?

Winnie: Isabel Marant, Tia and now Fiona Cibani of Ports 1961, Marni. Also like Henry Cuir accessories and Humanoid which is clothing and accessories.

Is there a particular actress, singer or style icon that you would like to see wear one of your pieces?

Winnie: Cate Blanchett or Kate Hudson. LOVE THE K(C)ATES!

Is there a type of woman you have in mind while designing your jewelry? If so, what kind of woman is she?

Winnie: She's smart and sophisticated and doesn't take herself too seriously. She's funny, genuine and caring. She's open minded and is constantly eager to learn new things. She's a traveler and lover of art & fashion. She has her own adventurous personal style and exudes an approachable confidence you can't help but be drawn to. She is my Mother, my Grandmother, and my Friend.

Lastly, we have read that you designed barrettes when you were younger. Liza and I both have a huge collection of hair accessories. Can we expect to see barrettes designed by you in the future?

Winnie: No barrettes, but some of the woven fabric necklaces from my Summer collection can actually be worn as headbands.

Just a peek at how to stack loads of Winnie's amazing cuffs all together with a simple white tank. This is exactly how I would wear these bracelets. They work well with a basic background. The little hints of turquoise waxed linen are to die for, right? Who doesn't crave turquoise in their wardrobe in the spring and summer months? I do. I always load up on turquoise and coral! Winnie has us covered in that department!

Diamond Drop Earrings, $155. I love that these are made of brass (my favorite material) and how beautiful and innovative is the navy waxed linen and brass drop accents? I know my sister would literally die over these earrings. I may have to snatch them for her and do an early birthday present. Then I'll have the ability to steal them from her whenever I want. Mwahaha. I am so giving, right? But honestly, these would dress up any outfit and it would not take much. I would love to just be wearing these earrings with cut off jean shorts, my spiked black gladiator sandals, one of my man's white wife beater tanks, a messy braid, a huge ribbon tied around my head, and let my summer tan do the rest! These earrings would go with that casual outfit perfectly. Again, Winnie's pieces can be dressed up or down. I live for it.

Brass Cuff with Leather and Teal Stitch Detail, $150. Alright, I can't take it anymore. I am ordering this cuff right now. I mean, this piece screams my name! For those of you who know me well... I mean, come on, right?! It wants to be on my arm. This cuff is truly a special piece because of it's versatility to me. I could wear this with a gauzy maxi dress, gladiator sandals, and a huge sunhat during the day or I could pair it with a sexy fitted cocktail dress, haired pulled into a high ponytail braid, and sky high pumps for a dressier ensemble at night. This cuff can accompany you anywhere with any look! Not all cuffs can do that as most are uber casual... well, not this one my friends! Keep it with you at all times to add some pazazz to any outfit!

Graduated Strands and Leather, $515. Ahhhh, this is also a favorite. I am not kidding guys. It is so hard to pick just one that I want. I swear, I could wear two of these. Can we please discuss how much this necklace makes my heart skip a beat? Liza and I have both always been the perfect mixture of edgy punk with a hint of innocent childish baby doll wear! One day one of us will be wearing leather pants and beat up combat boots with a handmade lace blouse and the next day we'd be wearing a floral printed dress that was my mother's from the 1970's. We have always bounced between the two extremes together, but have never dressed exactly the same because how boring and predictable would that be? ;) This necklace pretty much embodies that hybrid. The chains are a little edgy but still completely feminine. Then Winnie has brilliantly come in with the leather at the top to tie it all up for a more industrial harder look. The outcome is impeccable. I must, I repeat, MUST... get my hands on this piece for spring.

Triple Wrap Leather Braid, $150. This piece is actually from Winnie's Holiday 2010 collection, but I am still pining after it. There is no excuse that we don't all own this perfect little wrap leather bracelet. It's no secret that Liza's and my signature is to stack about six bracelets on top of each other, including one perfectly little braided bracelet. This one bracelet, however, is always the hardest one to find! We never want them to be too bulky because our wrists are tiny. We don't want it to be too colorful, too embellished, or too studded. This one is perfection on all fronts! I say we make this a random BFF bracelet summer gifts to each other Lize, what do you say? ;)

Leather Ruffle Earring, $115. These earrings are made of oxidized sterling silver that Winnie has carefully rolled leather into the bottom of them. How killer would these look with a brown handbag, boots, and a leather jacket? Oh my soul, the options are endless. It's bohemian and also a bit country to me. I have never seen an earring quite like this. As an experimental jewelry designer myself, I feel sometimes, "Ah, someone has always already done it." Well, not here... Winnie has paved a whole new fresh road incorporating these materials together in a whole new category of her very own. These are brilliant.

African Trading Bead Bracelet, $92. I really would like to wear about five of these together on my left wrist. I would not take them off. This would be my spring/summer left wrist stack. Paired with a massive turquoise agate ring. Done!

Brass Sunburst with Brown Leather, $415. My favorite necklace out of everything from Winnie's spring 2011 collection! Isn't it just a piece of art? I love how she has called it "Sunburst"... That is the perfect name for it.

I love seeing this necklace worn because you can see what a unique length it is. It's also lays in such an incredible way at the base of the neck. Her pieces are so intricate yet not overbearing at the same time.

Set of 3 Bangles, $115. Ok, on to her UNREAL waxed linen bangle sets. I want 100 of these. You get three for $115. That is NOT bad. I would wear the daylights out these. This one comes in a lighter teal as well, but I like the darker navy as I feel I could wear it more year round!

Awesome Winifred Grace Press. Who doesn't love her?

Below are my favorite pieces from the Winifred Grace Pre-Fall and Fall Lookbook. Get ready ladies! This collection is going to make your jaws drop! It is hands down my favorite collection yet. I have never seen such a cohesive grouping of jewelry, yet I feel every piece tells a different story. I will slowly but surely collect all below.

The one in the middle with the fabric... How she has woven it in? I can't breathe. I may need to pre-order this one now because it would go with so many of my blouses and dresses for summer! I would wear it next to the african trading beads stacked together. Agh, can you imagine how darling that would be with a cropped little lace blouse, a high waisted pleated skirt, knee socks, and saddle shoes?

This hardware??? To DIE FOR! The piece on the far right is so something Liza and I would wear everyday.

I love how she has incorporated the red beads into the african trading bead bracelet on the left for the fall season. The other two are just gorgeous. These will look great with our gorgeous cropped cable knits and fur vests next fall!

Ok, I would wear all six of these necklaces together. These are such great everyday layering pieces. I am in love.

Jewls 13 New Creative Hairstyles for Spring/Summer

Good afternoon, darling loves. I don't know about you guys, but having long hair isn't always a blast. I often get bored and feel totally uninspired about how to wear it. I have recently made more of an effort to play with it and research new styles to create. Now I am remembering why I love having wild long hair! Not to mention, my face just does NOT work with short hair. Unlike Liza, who has the best features for a "short do". I have slowly been cajoling her into getting a super short hair cut like Ginnifer Goodwin (pictured below in our Met Gala post). It would look so daring and strikingly gorgeous on her. Help me encourage and convince her guys! She could use an edgy change for fun! Ok, back to the point! This post is dedicated to me sharing with all of you the amazing hairstyles that I have found, tried, and successfully worn! They are super easy to do and don't take tons of product that will break your bank. Honestly, my hair is down to my waist and I only own some hairspray and mousse that I got out of a gift bag from my boss, some bumble and bumble wax and gel, and some moroccan oil spray. That is ALL I use. I don't like having sticky hair or feeling like it's weighed down. Especially when my man is constantly playing with it. Nothing ruins a moment more than when your boy gets stuck in a tangle! Agh! So these are all cheap fun tips that won't require too many new purchases. ;) I have included "how to's" with each hairstyle! Enjoy and let me know which one is your favorite! Happy Thursday babies! The weekend is almost here! Time to pick out one of my hairstyles to wear for Friday night! Yow!

"The Fishtail Braid". My latest and greatest. Ok, I know I am a little old to just now be learning how to do this braid, but it looks way more complicated than it is! My sister and I have been wondering for ages how to do this, so I jumped onto youtube three days ago and watched a tutorial like a total child! It really is the best way to learn. You have to watch someone else do it to understand. This is definitely my new summer braid. I wore it yesterday with a massive ribbon tied around my head. It was adorable. If you are like me, and still don't know how to do this braid right, (bahaha), watch this "how to" video on youtube. You'll realize how unbelievably easy it is and totally laugh at yourself! I did!

"The Ribbon Braid". I first saw this on Refinery 29, one of my all time fave sites, and I immediately remembered that I had an entire box full of super expensive hand dyed ribbons that I was planning to make necklaces with from years ago. I dug em' out and went braid crazy. I ended up with this look and my fiance walked in and was like, "Woah!!! Hair salon in here!" It looked so cute! I have the perfect amount of a tan from the last few weekend days at the beach, and a few freckles strewn across my cheeks and nose. So I just put on a little bit of teal eye liner, mascara and a light pink lipstick and I was set. Such an awesome look! Especially for a day at the beach. Go to any material or fabric store and grab up some ribbon, girls... this is a must do "do" for spring/summer!

"The Four Part Ribbon Braid". Here is a more elegant way of doing this look. Pull your hair into four sections and braid four separate braids. Secure a rubber band at the top of each braid where you will include the top of the ribbon. As you braid, keep the ribbon in place with one of the sections of the braid. When done, loosely bobby pin the braids up at the nape of your neck. VOILA! Gorgeous to wear out for a cocktail party. Imagine if these ribbons were black, even sexier. I live for this look.

Had to include this top view. To keep fly away's from ruining your look, use a Bumble & Bumble Sculpting Gel and rub a minimal amount through your hair at the beginning of braiding. Another thing I have found to help through trial and error... braid while your hair is still mildly damp! You will have more control over the braid this way! Also, a day later once you have slept in it, take the braids out carefully... spray a tiny amount of hairspray all over the ends of hair (not the crown, it will weigh it down) and boom, you have perfect crimpy beach waves!!! A great way to have an awesome "hairdo" for a dinner party that you weren't prepared for. Haha, I do it all the time. And the best part is, it looks like you killed yourself to make your hair look amazing. Hehehe, it's our little secret.

Braided looks from the runway for inspiration!

"The High Pony Tail Braid". Again, this hairstyle is great if you don't have time to make your hair look awesome before a night out. I yank this style out all the time when work has kept me late, I often do it right in my car before evening plans! Brush all the tangles out of your hair, and flip your head over. Secure a high pony tail with a rubber band, then rub a minimal amount of bumble and bumble styling gel through the crown of your hair (it doesn't take much). Then tightly braid the rest of your pony all the way down (if you have the time, do a fishtail braid for a more complex look), then secure the end with another rubber band. If it is day time, a BBQ or pool party, tie a little ribbon at the bottom to lighten up the look a tad!

"The Simple Messy Side Braid". I have found that with such long hair, doing a simple side braid with my hair perfectly combed looks a little Pocahontas-ish. (Yes, I just made that an adjective, ha!) Lately, I have been loving the way MK's braids look so messed up and teased at the top. I tried it the other week, where I braided the side loosely, sprayed a teensy bit of hairspray to my crown, took a comb, and teased the immortal crap out of the top. I parted it on the side and secured it with a massive jeweled barrette. It looked unreal. I will be doing this all summer. I just need to collect more barrettes!

"The Mini Crimped Look". Again, first seen on our lovely Refinery 29 fashion website. Who says crimping needs to stay in the 80's?! I say let's rock it now, girls! If it is put up in a sweet little knot like this, I think it is darling and totally a fresh take on crimping. I would love to find some little butterfly hair combs to stick in that knot! How cute is this? Gold N' Hot makes a great crimper and won't break your bank.

"The Mini Pompadour". Another one of my favorites right now. I know some girls that are really intense about their hair, use rollers and know how to blow dry it perfectly. I am most definitely not that serious about mine. I have found that this look is super easy to execute by just showering at night, combing your hair into two high pig tail pieces, twist your hair around itself into two tight buns, (think Natalie Portman as Princess Leia in Star Wars, haha). Sleep like this and when you wake up, take them down. If they are still damp, blow dry on low, add mousse, hairspray, and then scrunch with your hands. Then tease the crown section of your hair forward and pin at the very top with several bobby pins to hold the pompadour in place. If you still have fly away's, always use a little gel then pin into the pompadour. For a more Brigitte Bardot look, blow dry hair straight and flip out the ends with a curling iron. Also, super fast and sexy! Cat eye eyeliner optional. ;)

"Teased Birds Nest". That is what I am calling this hairstyle because that is exactly what is looks like. I feel like you would find bird eggs in there! Haha! This is so easy to do. Throw your head over, secure an insanely high pony on the top of your head. Smooth down crown with your good ole' bumble gel, and then go insane teasing the entire pony. When nice and "squirrel-ish" looking, start wrapping the pony around itself while securing it with bobby pins. That is it, ladies! Done and done! For a fun day time Breakfast at Tiffany's look, add a massive bow clip to the front. I have bought loads of them from American Apparel. They have super cute leather ones!

"The Scarf Wrapped Teased Pony". Ok, I know this may only be for my more experimental girls, but I love this look. It is very Marc Jacobs runway I admit, but with a tan and a nice all white ensemble, this is sick looking. Basically just curl your entire head with a curling iron and instead of locking curls in perfect place with hairspray... just brush it all out! Then secure pony with a pony tail holder and tie a scarf around it! Boom! So 70's and an adorable, unpredictable addition to any outfit! I live for this one!

"A Sleek Side Part Twist". I have always been afraid to gel my hair totally down. I feel like their is something so Clark Gable about it! AGH! But I finally tried it and with the right amount of black eyeliner on the top eyelid, and a really bright lip (coral looked rad), this hairstyle looked insaaaaaaanely chic! No joke. Just part your hair on the side, add gel to crown and comb through. Secure hair at nape, and pull hair into two sections adding more gel, twist them around each other then secure with another elastic ban. So Lily from Gossip Girl! I love this! It would look killer with a super glitzy choker necklace!

"Sexy Volumized Blowout". I don't want to leave those of you out that have shorter hair! ;) I love this look. Of course, I am partial because my love Sasha is modeling. All you need to do to accomplish this style is rub mousse into your hair while it is damp and blow dry it upside down and to the side with a huge round brush! When done, add a little Bumble & Bumble Wax to the end to give it a "piece-y look"! So hot, right?

"Sexy Hippie Beach Waves". I feel like all men live for this look. Nothing quite says, "I don't care what you think" like a sexy wavy bed head. I love it! Again, this is one that people can do with rollers or curling irons, I don't! I literally take a shower at night, throw my head over, and wrap my hair around itself into an insanely tight top as high as I possibly can on the top of my head. In the morning, I carefully let it out, add hairspray and rub a tiny bit of Bumble and Bumble Brilliantine Creme through the tips for a piece-y bed head look. Boom. Done. So easy and so effortless looking. Did I mention that your hair will smell divine?

"The Bejeweled Bun". It truly is amazing how fast you can dress up your hair with just a simple barrette. Throw your hair back into a messy bun, tease the crown just a tad, and secure with hairspray. Then take a long preferably jeweled barrette if it is night time, and pull it up the side behind your ear. You will be amazed at how much dressier and pulled together you will feel!

"Hair Accessory Ideas from the Runway".

Now, where oh where to find these fantastic hair accessories I speak of... have no fear loves... I have already found them for you. Although these posts tend to get a bit overdone, as practically every blogger covers them, I just couldn't NOT review this year's Met Gala, honoring the amazing career of the late designer Alexander McQueen. From the countless film festivals to the award shows and now the Met Ball, I've made sure to do posts on all of our favorite fashion events from the time Jewls and I began this blog. I know you guys all love em! For this one, I decided to review our best dressed and have Jewls join me to cover our worst dressed. After all, her comments make me laugh out loud every single time. Best Dressed:

Elle Fanning in Valentino Couture- What a little doll Elle is! I adore her to pieces. This dress is perfectly age appropriate and absolutely precious. I am completely and utterly obsessed and would wear this frock in a heartbeat! The shoes too are just darling. Perfection!

Freida Pinto in Chanel Haute Couture- Wow. This gown on Freida, compete with the tie, is so sexy and sleek. I am LOVING that neck and the off the shoulder sleeves. Her hair looks great too. Very sultry and elegant.

Ginnifer Goodwin in Custom Topshop- Stunning is all I can say about this whole look on Ginnifer. From her hair to her necklace to the dress, everything about this is GORGEOUS. There is nothing more that I love than a tight long sleeved dress with a splash of uber sexiness. Those cut outs on the side, the v neck, the little slit on the bottom? Agh! Oh and her hair? Obseeeesssed.

Hailee Steinfeld in Stella McCartney- Another little lady on the Hollywood scene killing it, one dress after another. This Stella gown is beyond beautiful and it fits her absolutely perfectly. I am adoring that hemline too. Simple hair and funky shoes complete her entire look. Five stars!

Alexa Chung in Christopher Kane- How can a fashion event be fashionable without Alexa Chung on the best dressed list? I really think it is impossible for her to ever look bad. This little dress is just so fun and SO her. She is truly everyone's favorite fashionista.

Ashley Olsen in Vintage Christian Dior Haute Couture- Another one of our top fashionistas is Ashley Olsen, KILLING it in this stunning Dior piece. It's a bit 80's Dynasty, but I can't help but loooove it. She is the perfect person to pull it off with elegance and ease.

Worst Dressed:

Blake Lively in Chanel Haute Couture- Blake looks like she just got crowned Miss America. What was she thinking with this gown? I know people think of her as a bit of a "fashion icon", but honestly I think she has just been around so many unreal garms in Gossip Girl's wardrobe department. Oh yeah, and Karl's mysterious fascination with her probably helps her cause. She's channeling Janet Jackson's superbowl wardrobe malfunction fiasco with this one. Lil' Kim would have worn this beautifully.

Alicia Keys in Givenchy- Alicia, Alicia, Alicia... You look like a muddy crocodile. Go back to the swap and try again. This is so bad. Maybe with the hair down straight and minus the jacket it would have worked, but this is just terrible! Well, no that belt just ruins everything. Throw the whole thing in the garbage!

Kirsten Dunst in Chanel Haute Couture- Kirsten, I normally support your choices, but this was really bad for your body type. A little granny-ish and way too sparkly for that length and print. I say no. Sorry little love.

Serena Williams in Oscar De La Renta- This looks like some sort of horrific reality show for bridezillas. If I had a nightmare of walking down the aisle in the ugliest white dress imaginable, this is what I would be wearing. And can we talk about the marshmallow firework that is bursting out of her head? Burn this!!!

Rihanna in Stella McCartney- Yo Ariel, give those braids a rest!!!! The Met Gala? A braid? Really? That is honestly just disrespectful. You're not running out to get coffee or going to the beach... you are wearing a gown for God's sake. A hideous one at that, but a gown none the less. Ri, pull it together.

Iman in Stella McCartney- Iman, you look like Willy Wonka's Golden Ticket! You just walked out of Studio 54! What is this jumpsuit?!! How old are you?!?! Noooooo!!! This is so so so bad! The disco days need to stay in the 70's!

It's Time To Go Nude!

Nude... Or Ivory for those of us that take a bit longer to acquire that perfect sexy summer tan. (I am raising my hand, ha!) No, but seriously my darling lovers, it is time to begin collecting all of our nude, tan, and ivory wardrobe pieces for the spring and summer months. Gah, it's May already! This trend is my absolute favorite that has popped up this season. As I said in my latest "shoot of the day" post, nothing is sexier than an all white ensemble with a perfect sun kissed tan! I have been dreaming about it. Can someone please agree that this is the sickest thing they have ever seen?! Look at the stitching around the collar and sleeves!!! I normally don't like leather dresses as they come across a little trashy to me when they are black, but this gorgeous buttery nude leather is so chic!!!

The length is so hot! Ahhhh! And just enough flair. Omg, I can't. even. c.o.m.m.e.n.t.

Robert Clergerie Wilma Oxfords, $595. Ya know how some things are just perfectly nerdy? This shoe falls right under that category. These shoes would only be for the seriously experimental fashionista. I know Lize and I would die for these.

Jenny Packham Feather Trimmed Silk Chiffon Slip, $805. Be still my heart! I rarely go for the sexy look, but this slip is the most perfectly constructed hot little number that I have laid eyes on in years!!!! I MUST OWN THIS!

Carine Gilson Egerie Silk Satin Balconette Bra and High Waisted Underwear, $645 and $525. I know a lot of people don't like the look of high waisted briefs, but Lize and I have been obsessed with them for quite some time now. When you have a tiny little waist, it is actually really flattering to have a brief come up to your little ribs. Honestly, don't knock it till you try it!

The detailing is unreal.

This set would work perfectly under all of these clothes! That little hint of black detail peeking through would be insanely sexy!

Elizabeth and James Salvia Silk Crepe Handkerchief Dress, $545. For my simple 9 to 5 working ladies. This is a perfect day to night dress. Throw some killer pumps in the trunk of your car in the morning, pop em' on after work with a pink lipstick, a bronzer, and your good to go! Your tan will do the rest of the work for you!

Lover Tapered Silk Track Pants, $400. These might be in my top three favorite pieces here. I would get SO much wear out of these. They would go with virtually everything in my closet. Not to mention they look incredibly comfortable. I may need to snatch these!

Just the perfect amount of drop in the crotch and just baggy enough! I love these! Agh! Worn with flat sandals, pumps, or wedges. You really could not go wrong. I would die to wear these with the ivory 3.1 Phillip Lim Blouse and the Lanvin Metal Sandals. Can you stand it?

Kelly Bergin Leather Mini Skirt, $430. This one really hurts my feelings. I don't think I have ever loved a leather skirt so much. With a tan... Can you imagine how unreal this skirt would make your legs look??? Need this NOW.

This whole outfit is perfection. I love how they have shown this!!! I'd trade the pumps out for the Elizabeth and James Lizard Wedge Sandals though.

Paul & Joe Sister Elfe Silk Crepe Top, $200. This top can be dressed up or down. A perfect basic with a little bit of flare. Lize and I are suckers for anything with a puff sleeve.

Love it paired with leather. I would do this in a heartbeat.

Missoni Pastel Patterned Bikini, $305. This truly is not a bad price considering how long they last. I have watched Liza literally abuse her collection of Missoni bikinis for years, and there still isn't one little thread out of place. She wears the daylights out of them. I love this color. So sexy. Lize, I say we get matching ones.

Valentino Lace and Satin Platform Pump, $795. Just had to throw these in my list so we can all cry and mourn together. Lace on a pump is hard to pull of without looking trashy and these are absolutely elegant! I would wear these with every frock I own for spring/summer!

Erickson Beamon Je T'Aime 22 Karat Gold Plated Necklace, $1,095. I want to make something like this. I am inspired!!! I obviously can't splurge like this on just a necklace, so I am just going to have to make it!

The length is perfect!

J Brand 901 Mid-Rise Tan Skinny Jean, $165. The perfect tan pant. This is a must have for all of us! Imagine them paired with a coral top!

Sandro Jarod Pleated Chiffon Maxi Skirt, $335. I had to include a nude maxi skirt since they are hugely trendy at the moment. I personally love the pleating on this little baby.

Opening Cermeony Nude Turban, $130. Lize and I have been wearing turbans since 2007 when she lived in LA with me for a few months. I actually vividly remember going to a party and group of people yelling to us, "It's not Halloween!" Liza was wearing her red Prada turban that night. Offended and always being the more "mouthy" one of the two of us, I quickly quipped back, "Yeah, well when you get permission from Vogue in five years to wear turbans, you'll remember where you first saw it , _______ (fill in the blank)." Hahahaha. And here we are, year 2011 and everywhere you turn, we are seeing girls don turbans! This one in particular is stunning because it will go with any hair color! I love it! We all need this for the summer!

The fold in the front is so cute. I love that it is a full turban and not just a headband "called a turban". This is the real deal. It would look darling with a messy fishtail braid coming out the side.

Cacharel Cutler & Gross Circular Lens Sunglasses, $525. I have yet to get my hands on a pair of Cutler & Gross sunglasses. As you can see, they cost some serious dollars. They are so classic though and I would love to own a pair. Oh, one day. For the moment, these get my vote for best pair of ivory sunglasses for spring/summer.

Alexander McQueen Silk Satin Organza Gown, $12,395. (Yeah, you read the price right.) Alright, alright... I know I am engaged and I am always feeling a little wedding-ish, but I HAD TO SHOW YOU GUYS THIS DRESS!!!!!!! I literally started tearing up when I saw it. It is so beautiful. I already have my wedding dress and it is perfection, but this one must be discussed and drooled over because it is exquisite. If Kate Middleton was more of a fashionista, she would have been killer in this gown.

I cannot deal with how it is short in the front!! It makes it so so so modern and sexy!

The train and the knot?! Omg, kill me! Time to go do a little work on my wedding planning... this dress is getting me in the mood!!!

Nail Polish Color Obsession: "Mimosa" by Chanel

Well girlies, we have yet another Chanel nail polish color on the market and it's called Mimosa. I saw it in a few magazines and was skeptical about it, until I saw it this past weekend at Neiman's with my sister. Let's just say we had a hard time saying no, both opted to share it, and bought the last one in stock. I know I know... I have an obsession, as does Jewls too. There is nothing more fun then picking up the hottest "of the moment" nail polish and running home to give yourself a quickie manicure. I LIVE FOR IT. Next on my list? Coral by RGB. Fashion Event of the Week: Tribeca Film Festival's Chanel Artists Dinner

This past Monday celebrated the 6th annual dinner for The Tribeca Film Festival Artists hosted by Chanel. The festival was founded by Robert De Niro and the dinner honored all of the artists who contributed their work to the film makers in the festival. Translation... for us... total fashion eye candy with some of our favorite style icons donning head to toe Chanel. What could be better next to the CFDA awards? It was really hard for me to pick my top looks, seeing as Lize and I have had a long love affair with everything Chanel! I have also gone back and selected my favorite looks from past years as well! Blake Lively. Ok, I would literally sell everything I own in exchange for this dress. Isn't it unbelievable? The little ruffles on the hem? It literally depresses me that I don't own this piece. I love that it is made from such a sexy material, yet has such a baby doll look to it. This dress was made for me! She wore it back in 08'. I wonder if I could somehow get my hands on it?!

MK killing it as usual. No explanation needed here. Worship her.

Caroline Sieber. I want to get married in this dress. Oh. My. Lord. GORGEOUS!

Diane Kruger donning a more Victorian look. She can do no wrong in my book. She is a genius. No stylist for this one. She proudly does it ALL herself.

Selma Blair and Kristen Bell looking so cute holding hands. I love how completely different they look. It reminds me of Liza and I dress when we are together. We are polar opposites, but you will always see glimpses of similarities in the way we style our emsembles. In this case, I would be Selma and Lize would definitely be rocking that dress Kristen has on.

Debra Messing. Can we talk about the collar on this dress? Oh, Karl... you slay me.

It's kind of ridiculous how many cute things are popping up in our favorite stores and online shops. I will admit I get a bit overwhelmed, as there is SO much to look at and swoon over! Gah! Free People Harmonica Crop Pullover, $78. How great is this little short sleeved sweater? Totally easy and super cute. I know I would get a ton of use out of this and at $78 bucks, you can't go wrong.

Knee Jumpsuit, $117. Not gonna lie, but I have been kind of over the suspender trend for a while now... until I saw these! I love love love how the pants come to the knees and I am kind of obsessed with the halter back! I can think of a million things to wear under it too... A unitard, tank top, blouse, cropped tee. The list is endless.

Pencey Suede Miniskirt, $334. DROOL! This skirt is screaming my name. How fabulous is it?

Rodarte for Opening Ceremony Drop Stitch Cable Cardigan, $405. Every piece in the Rodarte/Opening Ceremony collaboration is amazing, but this sweater is hands down my fave. I tried it on at Barney's a few weeks ago and obviously fell in love. I adore the the detailing and the way it zips up halfway.

TomTom Tie Dye Suede Wrap Bracelet, $125. As if I don't have enough bracelets... I am always wanting more! Haha! Love all of the jewelry by TomTom, but this little one instantly caught my eye.

Jewls and Liza's Shorts and Skirts Selections for Spring/Summer

I don't know about you guys, but I find a sense of urgency once May looms nearer to re-vamp my skirt and shorts collection for spring. Sure, sure... Lize and I have some cute ones on hand, but we need some new pieces to inspire new ensembles and ease us into the spring and summer months. It's so typical to feel completely overwhelmed by the saturated websites during these months. Ugly shorts, after ugly skirt... where to find the good ones??? With a full time job, who has time to run out to a boutique anymore, let alone to several to search for the perfect piece? Well, never fear... as usual, Lize and I have no issue rounding up an awesome crop of beautiful pieces to chose from. We've got laser eyes for this and after all, it is what we live for. We decided to split this little project in half. Lize was on short duty and I was on skirt patrol. To tie it all together with one of our favorite trends that is here to stay this season, we have included some carefully picked darling socks. We have selected both over the knee and ankle length so that there is something for everyone. You truly can't go wrong with this cute little foot accessory. People honestly underestimate the power of a colorful sock peeking out from under a heel, wedge, bootie, platform, or saddle shoe. Paired with a gorgeous little sleeveless lace collared blouse, sheer knee high socks and pumps, and my hair braided around my head for a night out in the summer. Forget it! Obsessed.

Steven Alan Georgia Skirt, $198. Nothing is more come hither than a darling little preppy skirt. It's innocent but also very in control at the same time. Every girl should have one of these in her closet. I am in love with this print.

Pendelton Meets Opening Ceremony Flared Skirt, $365. I would pair this skirt with a white unitard, hair down, wavy and messy, huge glasses, a straw sun hat and gladiator sandals. Done. Off for a picnic in the hills. It's the perfect picnic look.

Vena Cava Monarchy Skirt, $435. I had to throw at least one maxi in here as I have the hardest time finding ones that I like. I know it's pricey, but I feel like I would be wearing this piece 20 years from now. It is a classic and transcends age and trend. You could pair it with any top and it would look gorgeous.

Vintage Gypsy Rose Skirt, $75. I love that it comes in nude too. The construction is awesome. I want both of these. I just may scoop both up seeing as you really can't beat the price!

Streetstyle Spotlight: Coachella 2011

Coachella has become the casual West Coast grassy meadow version of NYFW's street style and I live for it. There were so many rad ensembles snapped this year. It was really hard for me to pick my top favorites! I wish I could have gone. Not to mention that Mulberry threw their pool party at The Parker where I just stayed in Palm Springs. Gah, I want to go back already. I may need to plan another getaway, stat! Most girls grab their shortest pair of daisy duke jean shorts, a floral top, a straw fedora, and scuffed up boots, but some chicks surprised me by whipping out some seriously darling dresses and skirts this year. Ahh, and the sunglasses... I have been lusting after each picture. I swear, there should be a store called "Coachella Sunglasses". I want all of them. This photo reminds me so much of Lize and myself. Unitards, cut offs, jet black shades, and an arm full of our signature "BFF bracelet stacks". We've been wearing them since we were 16. Also the girls have a handful of rings on, which we also do. Not a day goes by that we don't have at least 10 rings on. We wear one on every finger and stack all the little ones. We are naked without our accessories and no one wears them quite like us. Wearing jewelry a certain way is the best way to individualize your ensemble and create a signature for yourself. I am the BIGGEST lingerie girl. I am never one to skimp when it comes to bras, underwear, nighties, boyshorts, etc. I like my undergarments girly and sexy, yet comfortable. Comfort is key! Shoot of the Day: Perfect Spring/Summer Whites

I crave "all white" ensembles when it starts to get warm out. Well, I live in Los Angeles so that's all the time I guess, but don't let the weather fool you out here. It is seriously chilly at night until we officially hit spring. I love nothing more than laying out by the pool all day, taking a quick shower, braiding my hair all the way around my head, rubbing lotion all over myself, and wearing a loose fitting head to toe white ensemble to juxtapose my newly sun kissed skin. I mean, what is sexier than that? This shoot for Elle UK this month shows exactly what I am talking about and Vanessa Hegelmaier is one of my favorite models. Isn't she stunning? I love how Matthias Vriens-McGrath shot her with her hair messy and hardly any make-up on. Perfection. Mascara and lip gloss, baby... That's all ya need with a light tan! Spring, here I come! Item of the Day: Seneca Rising Green Cut Out Shorts

Haven't done an "Item of the Day" in a while now, so when I saw these Seneca Rising shorts this morning on Pixie Market's site, I instantly knew they were perfect to post! Everything about these are great... the color, the material, the little cut outs on the side, the elastic back. How darling? And at $126, they are a steal. I would totally dress these up or down, pairing them with a white sheer collared shirt and Lanvin flats for daytime or a slinky Kain-like tank tucked in with sky high wedges for night. Done and done.
