Sonia Rykiel for H & M

One of my favorite designers, Sonia Rykiel, will be debuting her line at H &; M next Saturday, December 5th. Starting out with lingerie, she will introduce a line of knits for women and children in February. Not sure how I feel about the lingerie, as I've seen a few of the ad campaign posters in magazines and on the street. I AM excited for the actual clothing though, as I love Sonia's whimsical Parisian influence. Here is a little sneak peak of the collection! XO, Liza

This Picture Makes me Smile...

Only the Olsen's would have this much luggage, full of their fabulous clothes, handbags, and shoes. I love this picture, so I just had to share it. XO, Liza

Outfit Post: Thanksgiving

I love holidays because it is an easy excuse for me to get dressed up! Dinner was wonderful, as always. My mom is the best chef, but I was oh so full. Stayed in on Black Friday, as I am scared of the crowds in my area! Not heading ANYWHERE towards Michigan Avenue. I'd rather just shop online. Great sales on so many sites (Opening Ceremony, Creatures of Comfort, Barney's, Singer 22, etc. etc). Happy shopping! XO, Liza

Designer Spotlight: Gail Sorronda

I have always had an appreciation and love for the down under designers, whether it be the fabulous Karen Walker, Alice McCall, or the label, Lover. I most recently came across Maximillia.com, a site that stocks some of the best Australian designers. That is where I discovered Gail Sorronda and I was instantly smitten. Only 28 years old, Sorronda received her Bachelor's degree at Queensland University of Technology, shortly following with her debut of the Gail Sorronda label. Last year, Ms. Sorronda moved to Paris to create her Spring 2010 collection, which just made an appearance at Australian Fashion Week with rave reviews. Her clothing is not only innovative, but feminine with a fun twist. After seeing some pieces for pre-order on Maximillia's site, I am honestly saying I couldn't fall asleep last night! This one special dress was keeping me up... I might just have to have it come spring. XO, Liza

Drumroll please... here is the dress. UGH! I cannot LIVE.

Gail Sorronda herself and two models from her show. Could this clothing be any more beautiful?

Stunning.

Outfit Post: Rainy Tuesday Night

FINALLY got to see my sister after she was in warm Florida for a few weeks. Made some dinner, watched some "So You Think You Can Dance", and picked up some yogurt from Yoberri. Horrible rainy day... Am I ever in rain gear though? Mmmm nope. XO, Liza

Love for Leggings

Although many fashion editors and experts in the industry claim they are done and out, leggings will always be a staple in my wardrobe. Whether they are just plain black ones from American Apparel or high end ones from a boutique, I can never have enough. Here are a few of some of my current faves. XO, Liza

Here is Ms. Taylor Momsen in LNA's slashed leggings. I have these and I love them. They are perfect with an oversized t-shirt for the day or a button up for night.

These Rag & Bone motorcycle leggings are great. Not to mention they are on sale on shopbop.com!

These Chloe Sevigny for Opening Ceremony thermal leggings are my next purchase. They are perfect for cozying up on the couch or just running around town. LOVE them.
Perks and Mini makes adorable things and these leggings definitely are too. They are available at Creatures of Comfort.

And last but not least, the digital ottoman Alexander Wang leggings are nothing but fabulous. They definitely seem to suck you in that's for sure. A little on the pricey side, but are on sale on many sites at the moment.

Model Spotlight: Anja Rubik

Polish born, Anja Rubik lived in Greece, Canada, and South Africa as a child. She was discovered while attending a British high school in Paris, France. While I'm not a huge fan of blondes, I can't deny how abandoned she is when on a shoot, her neck goes on for days and days, and the short insane hair is the ultimate "What? You think I care? I know who I am." She exudes a sense of confidence that most models don't. We gotta give it to her. Here are a bunch of my favorite shots.

Designer Spotlight: Tsumori Chisato

Born in Japan, Tsumori Chisato studied fashion at the famous Bunka School. In 1990, she started her own line and in 2003 she showed her first collection outside of Japan in Paris, France. Lize and I have been obsessed for ages. Here are some pieces I am swooning over...

Shoot of the Day: 10 Magazine

When I grabbed my May 2009 10 magazine and saw this shoot, I never forgot about it. Ya know how sometimes certain shoots just never leave your memory and stay with you? This shoot was one of those for me. I love everything about it. The femininity, the grunge, the dust, the natural lighting. There is just something so gorgeous about how it all came together and was executed. Claudia and Stefan pretty much kill it every time. You can tell they have an amazing bond as a creative team and David Vandewal clearly met their vision with every single piece of clothing and accessory he threw onto Marina. Agh, magic!
