Stylish Couple Spotlight: Olivia Palermo and Johannes Huebl

I've felt very lovey all weekend with my man and was thinking to myself... "We haven't done any couple related posts on the blog". So I decided to dig around and nominate who I think makes the most stylish young couple out there right now! Olivia Palermo and her model boyfriend, Johannes Huebl, take first place... hands down. They have been dating seriously for three years, done numerous shoots with each other and seem to be attached at the hip! Johannes is classically gorgeous and Olivia is of course becoming a total style icon on her own at the ripe age of 25. A lot of people don't like her for the way she represented herself on "The City", but frankly I don't care. That could have all been editing for all we know, and the girl dresses with more class, grace and swagger than we've seen in a decade. So my hat is off to Olivia. When you put them together it is total magic. They're darling! I have put together my favorite pictures of the two love birds below. Happy Monday, guys. Agh, bring on the coffee! I'm gonna need it!

Getting to know Juliana and Liza

JULIANA:

Please introduce yourself? Where do you live now? What do you do for living and for fun? I'm Juliana. I live in Los Angeles, CA. I assist stylists for fun. I design jewelry to fulfill my creative needs. I paint to get my emotions out that I can't otherwise articulate. And my first love is and will always be my music. I am currently recording my second record in Atlanta, Georgia at Tree Sound Studios. I pop back and forth.

Do you live with somebody else? (with family? or pet?) I live with my fiance John and our two adopted kitties Omar and Bellatrix.

What inspired you to start a fashion blog? Fashion has always been a direct married link to my music. I've always viewed my body as an empty canvas to express my mood daily. I will always take risks and be honest about what I decide to wear each day. Researching, reading, and educating myself about all facets of fashion has seemed to always be a natural ritualistic behavior for me.. and for Liza as well. We have been using each other as a sound board about our thoughts and opinions about fashion since we were 17 years old. We are absolute partners in this and have always been a great team as far as stretching and challenging each other about how we feel and react to all angles of the fashion industry. Thus, we started this blog to use as a home base for all the things that inspire us and that we want to discuss with each other and all of you.

What are you inspired by? I am mainly inspired by photographers. Seeing as how they are the gatekeepers of translating the designers, stylists and models to execute a theme or story. If the photographer doesn't get the photo... we don't get the point. Tim Walker, Mert and Marcus, Greg Kadel, Kayt Jones, Patrick Demarchelier, Michael Muller, Claudia Knoepfel, Stefan Indlekofer, Solve Sundsbo... just to name a few.

What is the most important thing for you when you are working or on the run? My camera, my MacBook, a massive coffee, face covering sunglasses, a bottle of water, my iphone, my stack of magazines, and a great record.

What is your worst habit? Drinking too much caffeine. It is a terrible dependency.

Your favorite color? It's a tie between green and orange.

Who is your icon? Why? My mother because she taught me to always feel free and to be truthful with my fashion and music expression. She always supported me and made it easily available to me at all times... ever since I was a child.

What are you most vain about? The people I choose to spend time with and really let into my life on a deep level. I pick girlfriends on the same level I pick my boyfriends.

What are you most shy about? I have to say... I am really not shy about anything.

What cant you travel without? My MacBook, my silky pillow, my pashmina scarves, cashmere socks, several Voluspa travel candles and my massive Boris Bidjan Saberi bag from Atelier to throw it all in.

Favorite place to shop? In LA? Church, Maxfields, Creatures of Comfort, Satine, Scout, Opening Ceremony, Tenoversix and Barneys for basics.

What you most wanted buy recently? The Osman Wedges I posted on the blog and every single boot Rick Owens did for this season. It's keeping me up at night.

When and where are you happiest? Same here. Anywhere with Liza. Doesn't matter where we are together... we bring a sense of centeredness and home to each other. She is absolutely irreplaceable to me.

What are your favorite vacation spots? St Barts, London, and Southern France.

Most treasured possession? This is hard. I suppose my art work and photos.

What is your favorite junk food? Nuclear sqorms! I know. Disgusting and the worst part is that they can only be bought at nasty Blockbuster, but Lize and I live for them.

What is your favorite sport? Um, yeah. Nothing here.

Favorite fashion designers? Marithe and Francois Girbaud, Lanvin, Givenchy, Damir Doma, Boris Bidjan Saberi, Carol Christian Poell... Agh, just a few that always hit the right spot for me.

Favorite musicians? Imogen Heap, Hot Hot Heat, James Morrison, InnerPartySystem, Amos Lee, Garbage, Alanis, The Cranberries... I could literally go on forever.

Favorite movies? Anything with Faye Dunaway. She is the epitome of honest elegance and edge.

What are you reading now? Almost Moon by Alice Sebold.

Favorite trend of all time? Wow. Um... I would have to say gingham handmade massive blouses from the 20's.

Worst trend of all time? Anything belted. Ew. If it doesn't fit you and you need to "cinch" it (as they say) then don't wear it. Yuck.

You always? Make sure that my point comes across.

Never… Let someone else tell you how to feel.

Please introduce yourself? Where do you live now? What do you do for living and for fun? I’m Liza. I live in Chicago, Illinois and am a recent graduate of Columbia College, with a BFA in management. What I love to do in my free time besides obsess over anything fashion related is dance, write, hang out with friends and my boyfriend, and my cat, Lily of course, drink coffee, and well… I like trying new things, whether it be a restaurant, a store, or a bar. I am always up for anything that sounds fun.

Do you live with somebody else? (with family? or pet?) I live by myself with the cutest cat around, Lily.

What inspired you to start a fashion blog? Jewls and I have always been total fashionistas and share our love of it together. Whether we are reading the new Elle on the phone together or drooling over the new items on lagarconne, we are obsessed with all areas of the fashion world. After checking out the many different fashion blogs on the internet, we both thought to ourselves, hey... we could do this?

What are you inspired by? Practically anything could inspire me, whether it be a sick editorial in a magazine or someone walking down the street. I have a few celebrities that inspire me, but I try and keep my style unique and me.

What is the most important thing for you when you are working or on the run?A tumbler full of coffee and my Miu Miu PVC bowling bag, stuffed with my wallet, day planner, phone, make-up case, and a few pairs of sunglasses.

What is your worst habit? Definitely nail biting. No doubt.

Your favorite color? I love the color yellow, although I never wear it.

Who is your icon? Why? Hmmmm... that is a toughie. Not really sure if I have a definite icon. I’ll have to get back to you on that one.

What are you most vain about? Meh? Next question.

What are you most shy about? Talking in front of groups of people... not my thing at all.

What cant you travel without? My computer, my small baby pillow, and Marge the lamb.

Favorite place to shop? I shop at Barney's in store, but I mostly shop online on Shopbop, La Garconne, Bonadrag, and Opening Ceremony.

What have you most wanted to buy recently? I have definitely been coveting this amazing little Stolen Girlfriends Club dress on Maximillia.com. Obsessed with that site at the moment.

When and where are you happiest? Probably in LA with Jewls... Omg I am such a cheese, but it is true. Driving down Sunset in her convertible with Coffee Bean in hand and Kelly Clarkson blasting sounds so perfect right now. Ahhh….

What are your favorite vacation spots? Hawaii, Mexico... anywhere warm and sunny.

Most treasured possession? Marge and my collection of pictures and music. I most recently backed all that up, as one of my biggest fears is losing all of it!

What is your favorite junk food? Gummies!

What is your favorite sport? Sport? Uhhh… I love to watch gymnastics. That counts!

Favorite fashion designers? Comme Des Garcons, Alexander Wang, Lanvin, Erin Fetherston, Gary Graham, Rachel Comey... I think the list could go on forever...

Favorite musicians? I love everything to tell you the truth. Madonna, Roisin Murphy, The Xx, Massive Attack, Cut Copy, Bloc Party, Fleetwood Mac, etc etc. I could go on for a long time.

Favorite movies? Love the classics, like Little Women, Meet me in St. Louis. I also love comedies, such as Mean Girls and Zoolander. Oh and Black Swan. I am in love with that movie. Unbelievable.

What are you reading now? Hmmm… the new Elle and Bazaar? Haha! Right now I have Cherie Currie's biography on my nightstand. Gotta dive into that soon.

Favorite trend of all time? Mod style shift dresses.

Worst trend of all time? Probably Uggs.
