Jewls Spring Sunglasses Selection

So for those of you who know me, you know about my problem. Ya know... that really big one that breaks my checking account every couple months. For those of you who don't know me, I'll go ahead and admit it... I have a sunglass addiction. I've had this illness forever. Unfortunately, the illness isn't cheap! But oh is it worth it! My collection is quite grand at this point and I treat them all like they are my children. Ha! I cannnot wait for the RODARTE for Opening Ceremony Snakeskin blue little babies to hit stores in March! I am going to hop in my car and zoom right over there to snatch them! They are so killer and will be a sick spring/summer pair to wear with everything. And oh yeah, if you can't tell... the floral ones by RODARTE are cloth!!! Could u die everywhere? I really can't take it. It's gonna be one broke summer for me, but my face is going to look unreal! I live for it! Below is a teensy collage including a few of my major binge sunglasses I don all the time. Hope you're all doing fantastic! Kisses!

Sunglass Designer Spotlight: Illesteva

Created and designed by Daniel Silberman and Jus Ske, Illesteva sunglasses were born in 2009. Handmade in both Italy and Germany, the glasses are all super unique and cutting edge. The brand came to be, as Silberman and Ske were simply tired of the current eyewear on the market... and voila! An amazing collection of sunglasses that aren't EVERYWHERE. I must admit... I am so tired of the "in your face" logos of Chanel and Dior on practically everyone on the street. These on the other hand are so fresh and understated. I am a major sunglass collector, so it's no surprise I scooped up a pair of these a few months ago and wear them all the time. Great purchase and actually affordable, ranging from about $160-200. Check out some of Illesteva's designs below! XO, Liza

These are great. I can see Jewls wearing this color.
 Gorgeous.
These are the ones I got on Lagarconne.com. I adore the shape and texture of the frame. So different and fun.

Sunglass Designer Spotlight: Ted Lapidus

Lapidus was born in 1929 and passed away at the age of 79 in December 2008. He was pretty much born into the garment trade, son of a Russian tailor and a refugee in Paris. He grew up wanting to go into medicine, but found out rather quickly that going into fashion would be more lucrative for him. By the age of 21, he had his own label. By age 28, his own line "Ted" was selling all over London. Throughout his life, he created clothing for men and women, dressing the likes of Twiggy, Brigitte Bardot and Jane Fonda to name a few. His accessories to this day are considered collectibles. I completely credit Liza for introducing me to his amazing sunglasses in the summer of 2005 I believe it was. She has bought many of hers from Ebay and a vintage store here in LA, "The Way We Wore". She has quite the collection that I regularly drool over and borrow when I visit her in Chicago. I just came across a website that has an amazing selection and the price range isn't too bad. I am IN LOVE with the first pair and will absolutely be saving up for these as my new summer shades. They are beyond fun and gorgeous! So take a peek and get acquainted with our sunglass idol, Ted Lapidus!

Love bugs! Me wearing a pair of Lize's red Lapidus sunglasses this past winter in Chicago.

They are so amazing. Gahhh, I want them. Lucky for me... we share everything.

80's/graffiti-esque perfection. I need these right now.

Beautiful color.

Love the gold rim on these.

Kind of love the "Lord Licorice" look of these. Hahaha.

Stunning. So regal.

A perfect black go-to.

Jeremy Scott Sunglasses for Linda Farrow T-Shell/Cream and Ivory Bones at Opening Ceremony

Liza was an avid Jeremy Scott fan from the very beginning and was the one who turned me onto him. While we feel he has lost his touch a bit over the years, I AM LIVING FOR these new glasses he has designed with Linda Farrow. A tad pricey at $265, but I may be able to get over it... In fact, I am getting in the car right now to run to Opening Ceremony and check out the ivory ones. I need a new summer pair and these might be the ones!

The Tom Ford NICOS Have Arrived!!

I have been driving past these on Sunset Blvd for three months... and they have been taunting me... along with the cutie that was in Tom's "The Single Man." Ok, ok, ok, so they're here! Problem... $420. So I'm gonna go start begging on Melrose after work today. Lol. Happy Monday everyone!

Because I Love This Picture...

How I would give anything for those Chanel glasses on the bottom... AH-MAZING. This picture is from Mary-Kate and Ashley's coffee table book, Influence. A few of the pages feature the gals favorite things. These are some of MK's glasses... Right up my alley. XO, Liza

I Wear my Sunglasses at Night...

So if you know me really well, you know that I am a sunglasses FREAK. Really I am. I have way too many than any normal person should have, but that doesn't matter. They are a key fashion accessory to me and in my eyes, you can never have too many! Here are some of my favorites. XO, Liza

How fun are these Luella for Linda Farrow sunglasses? I remember seeing them a few years back at Creatures of Comfort in LA. I could see Agyness Deyn wearing these.

I have been a major Ted Lapidus fan for years. His glasses are enormously big and that is the way it should be!

These Dior's are insane. Not sure if I could wear the gold, but I love them.

Benjamin Eyewear makes amazing sunglasses. I'd love to get these as my next pair.

These Anglo American heart glasses are the best. I got them this past spring and I LOVE wearing them.. no pun intended. Haha!

Last but not least, these vintage Dior sunglasses are fabulous. They are available on e-bay at the moment.

We Love You Karen Walker

Karen Walker is a New Zealand designer. She said she had started with $100 in her pocket that she made a t-shirt with in 1990 and by 1995, she had opened two stores and started selling at Barney's New York. After years of building her brand... cult following, avid fans and buyers started selling and purchasing her pieces in local obscure boutiques, mainly in Los Angeles and New York. I have been a fan of her clothes and sunglasses for years now when I stumbled upon some shades at Creatures of Comfort here in LA on Melrose. Since then, Lize and I have started quite a collection. I live for her men's styles the most. I usually tend to snag those up, so boys, get on it!
