Fashion Event of the Week: Tribeca Film Festival's Chanel Artists Dinner

This past Monday celebrated the 6th annual dinner for The Tribeca Film Festival Artists hosted by Chanel. The festival was founded by Robert De Niro and the dinner honored all of the artists who contributed their work to the film makers in the festival. Translation... for us... total fashion eye candy with some of our favorite style icons donning head to toe Chanel. What could be better next to the CFDA awards? It was really hard for me to pick my top looks, seeing as Lize and I have had a long love affair with everything Chanel! I have also gone back and selected my favorite looks from past years as well! Chloe Sevigny takes the cake with this stunning dress. This is absolutely my favorite look of the night.

Could you just die over the back of this dress?

Rose Byrne. This is my second favorite dress. Look at the straps!!!

Naomi Watts looking darling and ladylike as usual. Those shoes are killer.

Zoe Kravitz staying true to her rocker vibe. Those pants are unreal with that top. She is always so effortless. Just like her Daddy.

Harley Viera-Newton. I gasped when I clicked to this dress. I love that she paired it with boots. Exactly what I would have done!

Lauren Hutton looking stylishly regal as always. She is such an icon.

Jen Brill. The hem line of this dress is so exquisite.

Julia Restoin-Roitfeld. Perfection all the way down to that piece of hair being blown beautifully in her face. This is such a classy look.

Rose Byrne, Harley Viera-Newton, and Zoe Kravitz all looking equally chic.

Vanessa Traina and Danielle Steele looking adorable together. God, what a fashionable family of women. What I would give to spend a day in their closets.

Past Years Events:

Blake Lively. Ok, I would literally sell everything I own in exchange for this dress. Isn't it unbelievable? The little ruffles on the hem? It literally depresses me that I don't own this piece. I love that it is made from such a sexy material, yet has such a baby doll look to it. This dress was made for me! She wore it back in 08'. I wonder if I could somehow get my hands on it?!

MK killing it as usual. No explanation needed here. Worship her.

Caroline Sieber. I want to get married in this dress. Oh. My. Lord. GORGEOUS!
 
Diane Kruger donning a more Victorian look. She can do no wrong in my book. She is a genius. No stylist for this one. She proudly does it ALL herself.

Selma Blair and Kristen Bell looking so cute holding hands. I love how completely different they look. It reminds me of Liza and I dress when we are together. We are polar opposites, but you will always see glimpses of similarities in the way we style our emsembles. In this case, I would be Selma and Lize would definitely be rocking that dress Kristen has on.

Debra Messing. Can we talk about the collar on this dress? Oh, Karl... you slay me.

Best Dressed of the Week: Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen

Haven't done a "Best Dressed of the Week" in a while, so when I saw this picture of the Olsens, I figured it was a perfect opportunity for it. WOW is all I can say because the girls look AMAZING! I know this photo has probably been on a million blogs the past few days, but I couldn't resist posting it. Ashley, wearing a suit by The Row, looked perfectly polished and chic. I love the sophisticated look on her... she definitely pulls it off the best. Her hair and make-up too are stunning. MK, in a blazer and blouse also by The Row, looked classy, but with more of an edge. I especially love her fabulous Balenciaga belt and Prada clutch. A+'s to them both! Best Dressed of the Week: Emma Roberts

There aren't a ton of 19 or 20- year- olds in Hollywood that dress great in my opinion. While Miley is fringed out trying to be ultra bohemian and Kristen Stewart is dressed in an old sweatshirt and Chucks, Emma Roberts is nailing it, whether she is on the red carpet or just running errands. Therefore, she is my best dressed of the week! I did a post on this cutie over the summer I believe... It's pretty rare that I don't adore what she is wearing. She always looks mature, yet age appropriate. She never seems as if she is trying too hard as well, which I love. Sooooo here's a picture of Emma a few days ago on the go in Los Angeles. In some big shades, a TopShop dress, Miu Miu bag, and black flats, Emma looks casual and comfortable. So cute. Hope you guys all had a great weekend! XO, Liza

Best Dressed of the Week: Carey Mulligan and Keira Knightley

These two always look fabulous on their own, but put them together and voila... Perfection! Carey in Vionnet and Keira in Chanel are not only two of Hollywood's finest actresses, but also true fashion plates. I adore both of their dresses. So different from eachother, but equally elegant. Not to mention their makeup is absolutely flawless. Two thumbs up! Can't wait to see them together on the silver screen. XO, Liza

Best Dressed of the Week: Nicole Richie

Alright alright... I know I am insanely procrastinating the shows from all the fashion weeks. I still haven't even finished checking out New York! Ahh! Jewls and I discussed this a few days ago... We really like to take our time when it comes to looking at all the slides. I hate doing it when I am rushing or super busy. I need to find a good time this week to do it because I am WAY behind! I am just dying to look at all the shows from Paris. Well anyways, I thought I'd do a quick best dressed of the week. Newly blonde Nicole Richie takes the win for the first week of October. I am so so happy she decided to chop her hair and dye it blonde, as I wasn't really feeling her long dark do. This is so much more fresh for the new season. Her outfit though to me is simple and darling. The dress is nice and easy and I absolutely adore the little jacket she has on over it. Some massive shades and strappy shoes complete her look. All in all... adorable. Happy weekend everyone! I am having a rainy night in with Angel, watching Food Network and eating some butternut squash soup. :) XO, Liza

Honestly... Can Alexis Bledel get any prettier? This girl just gets more beautiful with age and she always looks impeccable when it comes to fashion. Therefore, she is my best dressed of the week! In a Stella McCartney dress and Giuseppe Zanotti shoes, Alexis walked the carpet at US Weekly's 25 Most Stylish New Yorkers event Wednesday, September 15th. I adore this girl. The end. XO, Liza

Best Dressed of the Week: Alexa Chung

You either got it or you don't... and well Alexa has ALWAYS got it. I swear, this girl never gets it wrong in what she wears. I love how her shirt is slouchily tucked into her jean cutoffs and her long tan legs are endless. Rachel Bilson in vintage- LOVE this outfit so so much, but her... not so much. I dunno... she hasn't been in anything since "The OC", so I am trying to figure out why she is always at ALL the events. Hmm... oh well. She looks good.

Michelle Williams in Sonia Rykiel- Love Sonia and love Michelle! This dress is fab, as well as the Ferragamo pumps. Adorable.

Kirsten Dunst in Chanel- So beautiful! I love Kirsten's style, whether she's in an elegant dress like this or just a sundress and moccasins during the day.

Vanessa Paradis- Is this dress incredible or what? Love her. She is so stunning.

Diane Kruger in Chanel- Can never go wrong in Chanel! I loooove her hair too. Just a tad of sparkle is perfect.

Camilla Belle in Gucci- At first, I was unsure if I liked this, but I think I've decided I do! Simple, yet beautiful and sleek.
