Shoot of the Day: Ashley Smith for Harper's Bazaar UK

Ok guys, this shoot is sick! How breathtaking is the jewelry? And the messy hair with the braid? Ugh! In love! I think the last shot is my favorite though. Absolutely stunning. Check it out! XO, Liza

Trend Spotlight: Fur Accents

Ok, so I am with Lize on this... It is a little early to be shopping for fall, but hey anyone can get stir crazy in the monotony of summer fashion gear. I certainly do. Living in LA only makes it worse because I don't get any seasons here!!! Sunshine all the time is not as amazing as it seems guys. Trust me... not for fashionistas anyway. I grew up layering and loving autumn in Chicago. I miss those crisp days where scarves, hats, and gloves were an absolute necessity. On the hunt for my favorite fall go-to, fur, I have been pleasantly surprised by the amount of options we have here! Super cute stuff for high AND low budgets! Check out my top picks.

Daydream Nation Fur Collar Necklace. $198. This I adore and would buy because it's versatile, fresher than a scarf and can be worn so many different ways. A must have for sure.

Thomas Wylde Fur and Studded Overcoat Dress. $3700, naturally. We can all drool though, right?

So killer.

Daydream Nation Fur Accent Top. $106. Loving this.

Givenchy Calf Hair Ankle Boots. $1190. Sob. I'm so madly in love with these.

The buckle coming up around the ankle just melts my heart.

Daydream Nation Fur Shoulder Cardigan. An amazing throw on. $212.

Anna Sui Rabbit Fur Bolero. $590.

I want to make this my pillow.

Jeffrey Campbell Xanadu Fur Ankle Boots. A cheaper fur bootie option and a bit more punk. $198.

Liza's Top Shopbop Fall Picks

Alright ladies... so since fall is approaching, knits, vests, and blouses galore are slowly trickling into our favorite stores and online sites. One of my faves, Shopbop.com is stocked with the cutest goodies. Here are my current obsessions for the upcoming season! XO, Liza

Rebecca Taylor Layered Ruffled Vest- OMG. Is this not so frigin gorgeous? I would wear this ALL the time!

Stunning.

Plastic Island Stonage Cardigan- This is a must have. Period. Plus at only 100 bucks? Done!

Rag & Bone Waverly Shorts- How cute are these babies? Would love these with sheer black tights and my Melissa wedges or a pair of open toe pumps.

Falke Corsage Stay Up Tights- I am a tights hog. Whether they are exclusive Chanel or reliable Wolford, I collect them like dolls. These will most definitely be added to my wardrobe for fall.

Equipment Signature Blouse- These blouses have been around for a while, but they are so great! I love how loose they are.

Webazine Spotlight: Playing Fashion

Playing Fashion Online Magazine is a new obsession for me! Caroline Buist and Sophie Dillon modeled for Playing Fashion Summer 2010 and it was photographed by Nicole Maria Winkler and styled by Emily Rajch. This shoot kills me! It reminds me so much of Liza and I just running around being nuts together. I am completely falling in love with Nicole's photography and Emily's styling... way to go out of the box... finally! This issue in particular featured British designers, so these girls are decked in Alice Palmer, Rachel Freire, and Mary Benson. The rest of their garms... well I would need a translator, but I don't really care cause it all looks incredible. I'd take it all any day of the week! Take a peek! Hope you're all well!

SO precious.

Might be my favorite shot.

Grunge chillin'.

Second favorite shot. I adore everything about this.

Yes, please. All of it.

The kitty! The outfit! It's perfection!

A homeless pirate in a sick dress. I live for it.

I love that they shot these pics with nothing but wet raggedy hair and tight top knot buns. Genius.

"The bad kids."

Love.

These rings are unreal. You would need a new word for "knuckle ring" with these on.

My Wish List... At Least For Today.

La Garconne has it's dry spells as most of us fashion cult members know. Sometimes they have a load come in that makes us want to drop dead because our checking accounts just aren't quiiiiite big enough. Other times it's easy on the heart because the pieces on their site sit and sit and ultimately become stale to our eyes. Well, now it is one of those times where I'd like to go walk out into a forest, find a money tree, and shake it. The site has ex-paaaah-loded with adorable pieces this week. So with that being said, here is my wish list for what I would like to have on my body... TODAY! Plus some yummies from Net-A-Porter and Forward Forward

ACNE. In love with this little blouse. Timeless. Must have.

The collar tie can be buttoned up as shown or it can hang down. Gorgeous.

Love the tuxedo back. L.o.v.e.

Vanessa Bruno Tricot Cashmere and Wool Jacket. Perfect for fall cold nights. I am obsessed with the cut and color of this piece. I would get a ton of wear out of this.

House of Holland Lace Shorts. A fun and easy throw on.

LANVIN

It's $1250. It's tiny.., I would only fit a lipstick, a phone, and a credit card in this thing!! Agh, it's hard to justify. Then again, I would take it with me every time I went out for a quick bite or drink... guhhhhhh.... can ya tell that I am trying to make it seem like a rational purchase? I just love it sooo much!

See by Chloe Wedge Clog. Done deal. Easy. Cute like the Rachel Comey ones I posted earlier. I want tons of these. So darling. I've been a tad irritated at how clogs have been played out as a trend, but I want to carry them through the fall paired with lightweight open billowing blouses, houndstooth shorts, tights and/or knee highs, and a cute preppy pea coat. That way I freshen the trend up a bit cause I am not quite ready to let it go yet. ;)

Adore the leather wrapping around the back. Killer.

Designer Spotlight: Karla Spetic

Comfy cardigans, innocent four year old prints, fabulous dresses with geometric cuts? Um, yes... Those are basically my three go to's when looking for basics for myself. I have more oversized cashmere and cable knit sweaters than I can fit in my closet... and I wear them all!! Always searching for more to add to my collection too. Well, Australian designer Karla Spetic's A/W 2010 collection is utter perfection to me. I could completely snag each of these pieces below. I really adore how she gets away with these silly prints while keeping her silhouettes modern. I like to dress girly sometimes, but keeping the silhouette and cut a little on the edgier side is definitely preferable and she nails it here on these dresses and overcoats. New obsession for me for sure! Love love love this collection. :) Off to more of my lazy Saturday night in with John. Hope you're all having a fabulous weekend!

Both. on. me. now. Aggghhhhhhh! Cardigan dress? What? Yes! And what is this on the right? I wish I had multiple views, but I want it anyway. Now!

Can't handle this. I just can't. The shorts... the blazer... So darling. It takes someone pretty daring to roll around in that. Ugh, I love it.

The coat on the right. Stunning. I would live in that. The dry cleaning bill would be steep. Haha... but oh so worth it!

Love her split colored cards and the swing dress. So sweet.

Cable knit skirt. Killer. I would lose the scarf, but I love the skirt.

The dress on the right is such an amazing use of fabric.

Tomboy in orange. Yes, please.
