Style Icon: Taylor Tomasi Hill

Nowadays I feel it is quite hard to find trendsetters that are completely and utterly original in how they dress. Whether they be celebrities, magazine editors, fashionistas, or socialites, it is really rare I come across someone in the spotlight that is not only dressed to the nines, but steps their game up each and every time they put on an outfit. I mean, how boring is it when we open the pages of US Weekly and there are three celebrities all wearing the exact same dress pretty much the same way? Or how about when you go to a nice restaurant and there are at least five girls toting a Black Chanel Quilted 2.55 Bag? Bleh! Well the rarity in this case to me is Taylor Tomasi Hill. Originally working as the accessories director for Teen Vogue (totally makes sense because that magazine used to be my bible for shoes, headbands, jewelry, you name it), Taylor now holds the position of the  style and accessories director for Marie Claire. I know she's been blogged about up the wazoo and what not, but I just felt a post on this fashion icon was very necessary for our blog. Jewls and I are obviously very big on originality and staying true and unique to our styles, and Taylor Tomasi Hill is almost like the poster child for that. Her ensembles are always ridiculously sick and gorgeous and well...  innovative! I LIVE FOR IT. Check out some of my favorite photos of Taylor below. Her outfits are positively drool worthy! Hope you guys are having a great week! It's been a heat wave here in Chicago... I'm ready for summer! XO, Liza

PS- Thank you to Shani, Refinery 29's Chicago editor, for featuring my post today on "5 Things To Know This AM!"

Love how she paired the Alexander Wang boots with super short shorts and an oversized blazer. So sleek, yet funky at the same time.
Pop of bright yellow against gray and black? LOVE it.

These glasses are amazing, her Proenza top is obviously fab, and the color of that bag? PERFECTION.
Is that a fringe skirt?? NEED!
Taylor is one of the few women I have seen that can wear sky high heels during the day and not look trashy whatsoever. I adore this whole look.
 Ummm what?!? Close up please?
There we go! The bright blue clutch? The crazy ass skirt? The studded high top Christian Louboutins? NO words.
Downtown chic.... and can someone please identify the silver cuff around her neck? Would love to add that to my jewelry collection!

  1. I neva quite understand y celebs who have access to all these great digs are so predictable in their style and like you say, look like every other celeb out there...wearing the same dress, the same exact way. Taylor takes risks and that's why she's so flyyy!!!!

  10. she's one of the rare that don't do the leather jacket, oversized scarf and grunge boots constantly, although nice so overdone. Her addition of personal touches just seal her originality. the crazy skirt, high tops and bag was an incredibly that will go in the books!
